I’m Usman Khan, a dedicated audio engineer with a decade of experience in the industry and a degree from Full Sail University. Sound isn’t just my profession—it’s my passion. I thrive on capturing, shaping, and refining music to bring out its full potential, whether in a high-end studio or through my own professional recording space, iKhan Audio.

Professional Journey

I currently serve as an Audio Engineer and Assistant Studio Manager at Stonecutter Recording Studios in South Loop Chicago, where I’ve had the privilege of learning from renowned producer and engineer Chris Steinmetz. Here, I’ve refined my skills in studio operations, recording session management, and high-fidelity audio production, working with artists across various genres.

Additionally, I work as an Assistant Engineer at United Technique Recording. This role has further strengthened my ability to adapt to different production styles, ensuring every project meets the highest artistic and technical standards.

iKhan Audio – My Own Studio

Beyond my roles at these premier studios, I run iKhan Audio, my own professional yet independent recording studio in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Here, I work with local and indie rock bands, singer-songwriters, and artists across all genres to craft high-quality recordings that capture their unique sound. I oversee every stage of production, from tracking and mixing to mastering and final polish, ensuring that every artist walks away with a product they’re proud of.

At iKhan Audio, I’ve built a creative and professional environment, fully equipped with a dedicated live room, vocal booth, and separate control room, featuring top-tier microphones, analog summing, industry-leading preamps, and premium monitoring. Whether working with a full band or a solo artist, I focus on preserving authenticity while elevating the sound to industry standards.
